Annual Membership Renewal
Pico Ski Club Membership Renewal is open through Friday, September 15th. Annual dues paid by September 15th are $160 for the first family member and $45 for each additional family member. For example, a family of four pays $295. Family members are defined as applicant, spouse and all children under 22 years of age. If your kids participate in the Pico Ski Club Race Programs, you must renew your annual membership prior to registering your kids for 2018-18 season race programs (Race Program Registration opens in August).

Checks and Credit/Debit Cards will be accepted for membership renewal payment prior the September 15th deadline. After Septemeber 15th, only Credit/Debit Cards will be accepted for membership payment.

Pico Ski Club Wins Vara Golf Tournament
The Pico Ski Club team won the VARA Golf Classic May 30th at Green Mountain National Golf Course.
Pico Ski Club team of Matt Kinsman, Brian Pell, Karl Larson and Cody Larson tied with Green Mountain Valley School, and then went on to win the tiebreaker to take the tournament victory.
Many thanks to all the teams who showed up despite the unruly weather forecast! The rain, thunder and lightning stayed away throughout the event. Sixteen teams rallied to play a best ball, shotgun start, tournament. There were great prizes and product donations for the participant raffle. The players were able to complete all 18 holes with no weather interruptions and enjoyed and excellent BBQ dinner while waiting for awards.

Volunteerism is the key to a successful Pico Ski Club
The Pico Ski Club has been a successful organization for more than 60 years because members volunteer for numerous activities and events, such as the annual Ski Swap, Social Activities, Club Maintenance, Race Crew, etc.
Additionally, membership dues are affordable because everyone is pitching in. Every year when you renew your membership, you’re asked to indicate which event and/or activities you would be willing to assist. Unfortunately though, many members have failed to fulfill their volunteer commitments when called upon by the various committee chairs. The failure of the membership to lend a hand increases the time commitment and pressure for those that do volunteer on a regular basis.
Without volunteer support from the membership, the Pico Ski Club may ultimately have to reduce the benefits afforded to the membership. This could mean fewer Social Events, overall reduction in Ski Swap hours and dates, and deferred maintenance projects that in the long run could end up costing the club thousands of dollars.
